The ‘A Complete Unknown’ star was snubbed for best actor, after winning the SAG Award last week.
All eyes were on Timothée Chalamet on Sunday night when he showed up to the Oscars 2025 red carpet like he was walking on sunshine.
The 29-year-old posed for photos at the 97th annual Academy Awards in a yellow custom Givenchy suit. Although he walked the carpet by himself, he had a special plus one by his side the entire night.
Before the ceremony began, Chalamet was spotted holding hands and kissing girlfriend Kylie Jenner inside the Dolby Theatre. They were seated together in the front row, continuing the affection throughout the night, The Hollywood Reporter can confirm.
Host Conan O’Brien also called on Chalamet in his opening monologue, “Love that suit, you will not get hit on your bike tonight. Safe!”
Adam Sandler later made an appearance during O’Brien’s opening segment, in his signature look: a hoodie and basketball shorts. The host playfully teased him for being underdressed, which caused Sandler to leave the auditorium — but not without hugging Chalamet goodbye.
The bit was a nod to their moment at the Golden Globes in January, where then-host Nikki Glaser said to Chalamet that his name sounds like something Sandler would say.
Chalamet was nominated for best actor for the second time for his performance of Bob Dylan in the biopic A Complete Unknown. He was last nominated in 2018 for Luca Guadagnino’s Call Me by Your Name.
Last year’s winner, Cillian Murphy, took to the stage to announce that this year’s golden statuette winner would go to Adrien Brody. Although Chalamet won the SAG Award last week and gave a memorable speech saying he aspires to be “one of the greats.”
